We are changing our “Shabbat Shalom” posting and adding a “Weekly Update” that will be posted earlier in the week. We are doing this so we can feel free to tell you about things that can be purchased, or about various needs, and not appear to be doing that on Shabbat. We will continue to wish you “Shabbat Shalom,” but will post our other information earlier in the week.

Our good news this week is, the story of our late friend and MIA/ARI Ambassador, Israeli Lt. Col. David Yaniv (shown at left) has been included in a new film, “The Miracle of Israel” narrated by Leonard Nimroy.

On their site, they list times in which the film is being aired on TV, plus they offer a free book in case it is not being shown in your area, and you can also purchase the DVD from them.

One of the comments made about the film is, “I really enjoyed the personal testimonies from people who were actually there during the wars-especially the officer who was wounded, unable to move and saw a bright light from Heaven that lit up the battlefield and caused the Syrian unit to retreat! Amazing!”

The film is about the restoration of the Modern Nation of Israel, and the people who made it do not understand about “both the houses of Israel” and their coming reunion (Isa 8:14; Eze 37:15-28). Nonetheless, we hope you will check out this wonderful testimony to the faithfulness of our God. David and his Company experienced a powerful miracle during the ’68 War, and the film includes the story.

We want to again thank all of you who helped the MIA/ARI to contribute to the support David and Sheila in their latter years. They truly appreciated the help, and we felt honored to be able to walk with them. They loved the truth about Israel’s full restoration, and they had an incredible testimony that included a powerful healing in the Name of Messiah Yeshua. Batya made a video about Israel’s restoration set to the touching song, “Pioneer” by Nancy Honeytree. It includes pictures of David and his late widow, Sheila, in it.

Their family is allowing ARI to make a contribution toward a dual Memorial Headstone to honor this awesome couple. For more info see:

We hope you will continue to keep Daniel and Sylvia Calderon in prayer. Daniel had to have a minor surgery, but is now healing well. They continue to need our prayers and help. You can contribute to them by clicking on our Support Link, and choosing Daniel and Sylvia. See: http://www.redeemedisrael.com/

Sabbath Blessings to you and yours from the Alliance of Redeemed Israel!

Shavuot is our next feast, and the picture to the right is a beautiful reminder of its empowering promises. It is done by friend and ARI Adviser, artist and calligrapher, Anita Robertson. It is called, “Shavuot Fire.” She writes, “Fire is most often thought of as destructive, but in the Torah it is also an instrument of cleansing. What is called the Day of Pentecost in the New Testament was actually the Festival of Shavuot. It was in some ways a parallel of what happened on Mt. Sinai when the Torah was given to the fledgling nation of Israel. (Exodus Chapter 19) ‘And in the fulfilling of the day of Shavuot, they were all with one mind in the same place. And suddenly a sound came out of heaven, as being borne along by a violent wind! And it filled all the house where they were sitting. And tongues of fire appeared to them, being distributed, and it sat on each one of them. And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit gave ability to them to speak.’ Acts 2:1-4 LITV.” Order the artwork here:

We have your answers to our question about our ARI Gathering, Round Table Discussion. We asked what issues you would like to have us discuss, and you essentially asked for the following:

* Scriptural evidence that confirms that Believers should grow in Torah understanding, plus answers to common objections concerning Torah.
* Discuss eternal security as it relates to physical Israel’s salvation.
* What can we actually do to bridge the gap of misunderstanding between Ephraimites and Judahites?
* How can we keep things simple and not let so many issues divide us?
* How can we teach the people to hear from the Spirit for their selves?
* Discuss issues about Messiah’s Deity.

We are planning to discuss these things and much more, so it should make for a lively, day-long meeting! Don’t miss it!

Shabbat Blessings to you!

If you have children in your home, we encourage you to have a time of family sharing about the simple, yet life-changing ways of our forefathers. Abba said of Abraham, “I’ve made myself known to him in order that he may encourage his sons and his household that is born after him to keep the way of the LORD, and to do what is right and just…” (Gen 18:19).

We need to encourage our children in the faith in a way that they can readily understand. Sometimes, we can let our faith get too complicated and get weighed down with details. We think it is good for adults to have to reduce the things they know to something a child can understand. We can do this by telling our children a simple Bible story and asking them what they think of it. (That way, there is no right or wrong answer.) We can also pray a blessing over them. It doesn’t have to be complicated or done in a particular way, but it does need to be done in sincerity. So, lay hands on your children and speak a few encouraging words to them about the good things that you see in them.

Can you imagine how such simple things would have changed each one of us?

People desperately need to hear kind words, especially children as they seek their way in the world, so this Shabbat, speak a blessing over your family members. If your children are grown and gone, call them and/or your grandchildren and speak a blessing over them. Remember, the point is to encourage your family in their faith.

May you be blessed with wisdom as you seek to bless others.

This week we are featuring a new ARI logo and we invite you to link to it on your site. See: http://www.redeemedisrael.com/link-to-ari/

It is deep theology in a drawing. If you have ever wanted a brief handout that describes our faith, this is the Herald Issue for you. (Hard copies are mailed every month to ARI Supporters.) We have two awesome praise reports!

Dan Calderon’s health continues to improve and they are working to make our Labor Day Gathering a success! However, Dan and Sylvia still need our help so please continue to remember them in your giving. See our drop down Support menu: http://www.redeemedisrael.com/

We also received great news from Jacquie Himango!

She was diagnosed with bone cancer, but after further testing, no cancer cells were found in her bone marrow! Hallelujah!

But, Jacquie too, still needs prayer. She writes, “I really appreciate all those prayers that you have prayed for me! I truly believe that Yahweh is my Healer and that with Him and through Him, all things are possible! Please continue to pray that the MGUS will not progress any further toward cancer. I am in the process of changing my life style… eating a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, doing more exercise, avoiding processed foods and refined sugar. But even though I will do all the things in the natural/physical realm that I can to combat the onset of cancer, I believe with my whole heart that Yahweh has my life in His Hands. I put my trust in Him….Again, thank you to everyone who has prayed for me! I truly appreciate everyone of you and the love and concern that you have all expressed to me. I am blessed to have so many loving friends!”

We are really embarrassed! We had hoped to have the book, Israel’s Feasts and their Fullness available on Amazon’s Kindle last week after previous delays, but alas, we have even more problems and it still is not ready! Please pray that we can have the book ready next week, and that it will be the first of many of our books to be offered in this venue.

We are asking only one, complicated question in our Poll/Survey this week. It has to do with the upcoming format for our ARI Gathering, Round Table Discussion. Even if you cannot attend the Meeting, we want to know what you think is the most important matter for us to discuss. We are simply going to ask one question and let you answer in your own words: The question is: “Will you be able to attend the upcoming Labor Day ARI Gathering Round Table, and, what congregational issues, what subjects, would you most like to have the people address?”

As we wish you “Shabbat Shalom” this week, we are featuring the album cover, “The Return” by Will Spires.

We chose this cover because Passover and its related feasts are coming, and people are often of different opinions about how and when to celebrate them. It is our prayer that, as we seek to “Return” to the ancient paths of our forefathers, even as much as we seek to be obedient to that which we know, we would seek to treat our brethren who do not understand the same things with mercy and kindness.

At our last Labor Day Weekend ARI Gathering, we encouraged people to enter into a chuppah and make a personal commitment to YHVH. On its walls were two signs, one for the way we need to lead our lives, and one for the way we need to treat others. For us as individuals, it must always be a matter of “Commitment without Compromise,” and to others we show “Mercy without Measure.”

As we seek to reunite the whole house of Israel we need to try to live by these simple standards. We also might want to learn to sing one of the songs on Will Spires’ CD. It is called, “The Road to Zion.” Its words read like an anthem:

We are traveling the road to Zion
We are walking in Abba’s way
Road marks, long ago set to guide us

Brothers weeping, no more to betray

    We are Ephraim and Yehudah
    We are restored Yisrael
Brothers all, longing for Divine reunion
Tribal clans, seeking in peace to dwell
We are the offspring of Ya’acov
We are the inheritance of Yisrael
We are the children of Messiah Yeshua
    We are redeemed Yisrael

    (See Jeremiah 31:7-21; 50:4-6; Ezekiel 37:15-28).

We offer a video of Will’s song on our Songs and Videos Page, his CD is in the ARI Shop:

We’re getting closer! We hope to have the unique feast book, Israel’s Feasts and their Fullness available on Amazon’s Kindle later today! We experienced delays because we had to make some typesetting and editorial changes in order to fit their standards (no drop caps, no Hebrew text, etc.). The Amazon.com link below will take you to the Feast book and you can hopefully find the Kindle version there as soon as it is posted.

Our ALLIANCE of REDEEMED ISRAEL acronym is ARI, the Hebrew word for Lion; which comes from arah, which means to gather. So, we hope you will join us for our upcoming Labor Day ARI Gathering in Orlando. We want to gather to seek a deeper, Hebraic understanding of what it means to truly “worship” the God of Israel. We think it more far-reaching than we ahve been taught. In addition, we plan to kick off things with a pre-Gathering “Round Table Discussion” about congregational life and all that pertains to it. And that should make things interesting! =:-/

his year, the meeting will be led by ARI Shepherds, Wally Smith and John Conrad. We are calling it a “Round Table,” because we want people to face each other and truly be involved in the process. The meeting will be very interactive, a time when the people speak and ask questions. We hope you’ll join us: http://www.redeemedisrael.com/events/

“If you keep your feet from trampling the Sabbath, from pursuing your own interests on My Holy Day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and YHVH’s holy day honorable; if you honor it by not going your own ways and seeking your own pleasure or speaking idle words, then you will delight yourself in YHVH, and I will make you ride over the heights of the land, and let you feast on the heritage of your father Jacob. For the mouth of YHVH has spoken

” (Isaiah 58:13-14).

Messiah said, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27). Sabbath is a special time in which Yah wants us to remember the spiritual feast that is the heritage of our father Jacob. He wants us delight in His love for us, to be lifted up to the heights as we dwell on His promised blessing to the children of Israel.

May it be so for all  of us!
Shabbat Shalom!
We posted an encouraging article by Frank Houtz of Dry Bones Restoration Company, titled, “Community in the Feasts [Calendar Issues]. Frank brings balance as he suggests the importance of our being a community that gathers together in Messiah. See the article listed under the Header, “Passover.”
We invite you to join us for our Labor Day ARI Gathering in Orlando this year. Among other things, we hope to have a round table discussion period with input from everyone present. We want to have a truly interactive time, a time wherein the people speak. Please pray about joining us: http://www.redeemedisrael.com/events/
To help you celebrate Shabbat we invite you to read the Scripture Studies and Torah Portions posted by our friends. See them here:

Our latest Poll “Passover and First of Firstfruits (Day of the Wave Sheaf)” is now closed and the Numerical Poll Results can be seen here:
The overwhelming conclusion is that most of you want to know more about the Day of the Wavesheaf; you feel that it is important for us to remember this all-important Day that speaks of Messiah’s Resurrection. Our “Overview” of your Comments can be seen here, along with all of your comments listed at the bottom of the page:
With Passover preparations in sight, we will postpone our Polls until after our celebration of the Day of the Wave Sheaf.

If you haven’t yet read our latest Herald Newsletter, please do. Purim is coming soon and our lead article offers some great insights about our required “Robes of Righteousness” and the manner by which Queen Ester was dressed. Daniel and Sylvia Calderon continue to need prayer support. Please see an encouraging and enlightening article about the “Opportunity” we now have to pray for them. See “A Golden Door of Opportunity,”  http://www.redeemedisrael.com/category/prayer/

Many are beginning to speak of our need to repent of some of our attitudes and ways. Batya wrote a no-holds-barred article that addresses some related issues and pleads with us to realize the true purpose of the end times. This challenging article is titled, “Sifting the Saints – Shaking Israel’s Olive Tree.”  If it blesses you, please help us by forwarding it to your friends:
